"Being different isn't always easy until you make it your strength. When I was little, there weren't many asian role models. I felt different and wasn't sure what that meant. For example, I loved make-up, but there weren't a lot of make-up tutorials for monolids, so I was struggling. I thought make-up would never look good on me the same way it did on others. But then whenever I found someone who looked like me and did beautiful make-up looks, it changed my whole perspective and I saw the beauty in my own eyes. It took someone who loves themselves for me to see my own beauty. I hope that maybe I could be that to others."
