"I always hated my body. It started when I was twelve years young and Tumblr showed these beautiful girls with thigh gaps, long legs and abs. Which I did not look like. I developed an eating disorder. I got very, very skinny. In 2015 I had an eye opening experience that gave me the strength to change. In 2019, I started participating in body positive catwalks in big cities like Paris, Berlin, Antwerp and Barcelona. But at the same time, the insecurities of the past got to me in a different way. I felt like I didn't belong in the body positive world because of my figure. I am not plussize, I am not standard. I am stuck in between. And when I talk about body positivity, people tell me I can't do that because I have "nothing to complain about". So I have toned down on my Instagram since then, not talking about body positivity as often as I would want to. I don't know where I belong and nobody accepts me in it. I feel excluded all the time."
