"Six years, that is how old I was when I had to go to a dietician for the very first time. It was the first time that someone told me, in my own opinion, that I wasn't good or skinny enough. Even though I had a slow working thyroid, which meant I gained a lot of weight without changing anything, people still said it was my own fault that I was “too fat". I went from diet to diet, with the same result every single time: I gained every kilo back that I’ve lost. It took me years to accept myself. Now, I decided to enjoy life more. I have thrown out every idea of ever going on a diet again. I only follow body positive accounts on social media. I started appreciating my body, I have learnt what my strengths are and most of all I have embraced the woman I have become."
